How we estimate: card network costs use the legal caps on personal cards in Europe and the UK (0.2% debit, 0.3% credit) and published Visa rates in the US. We add scheme fees and a provider margin of 0.3% that many providers accept. It is an estimate: your statement shows the real numbers. The full method.
